Volunteer appreciation planning

The third week of April is volunteer appreciation week, and at the school we’re in the midst of planning out our vol appreciation dinner. Lots of stuff to do – schedules to make, school calendar dates to reserve mailing lists to update, gifty things to order and so on. Spent most of the morning copy/pasting my spreadsheets into some semblance of up-to-datedness. Busy busy busy.

At the homework club, the big news was that finally, we got a new shipment of food in, after about 6 weeks of coasting on existing supplies. Not a huge deal, but we were heading rather quickly toward a “getting really creative” mindset, so I was glad to see the fridge had been reloaded Friday afternoon. We were beginning to get a few odd looks from the kids. 😀

Oh, and it was up over 60 degrees today. Sunny, warm and just a touch of a cool breeze. Nice…
