A study in contrasts

This morning, I spent 3+ hours making photocopies of end-of-quarter stuff for my morning supervisor. 3+ hours of quiet, rhythmic ca-chunking as the copier ate its way through several dead trees, sitting quietly in a warm, quiet room, keeping an eye on the paper level, the finished load level (move to a box before it gets too heavy) and writing a letter to my mom while the whole thing worked. Quietly.

This afternoon, all the kids lost their behavior points as a group and no one got end-of-week prizes because the elderly, disabled neighbor had to come over to put the fear of God into them about the unholy racket they were making. Still no pooh, but there were several instances of edible projectiles.

That was my day. How was yours?
